From 29 July to 1 August 2026, Markant made its debut at ARCHIDEX 2026, held at MITEC Kuala Lumpur.

While Markant has been present in Malaysia since 1998, this marked our first participation in ARCHIDEX – giving us the opportunity to introduce our workplace solutions to a wider audience of architects, designers, industry professionals and visitors.

Designing the World of Work

Markant was proud to be part of the World of Work section, where our products were presented in a thoughtfully designed environment by John Jong of Thinkscape.

The harmonious booth design and considered product placement drew plenty of positive feedback from visitors, creating an inviting space for people to explore our range and experience how our products can work together in a modern workplace.

At the exhibition, Markant showcased solutions across several categories:

• Workstations: Max and Matrix Pro – building on our experience as pioneers in sit-to-stand workstation solutions.
• Soft Seating: Imagin Bizclass and Skyhub – designed to support collaboration, comfort and different ways of working.
• City Collection: Rome, York and Lyon – bringing timeless, refined design into the workplace.
• Task Seating: Autocore – combining ergonomic support with contemporary workplace design.

Insights from Australia

A special highlight of the event was having Simon Cunsolo of Cunsolo Architects, Australia, join us in Kuala Lumpur.

Flown in from Australia, Simon shared his experience and insights into workplace design in Australia, offering visitors a valuable perspective on how workplace environments are evolving and the considerations that go into creating effective spaces for today’s workforce.

It was an insightful session that provided plenty of food for thought and sparked interesting conversations among the architects, designers and industry professionals who attended.

Introducing Imagin Cella

Another highlight of ARCHIDEX was the launch of Imagin Cella, our new space designed around three simple ideas:

Think. Meet. Rest.

Imagin Cella reflects the changing nature of the workplace, providing a flexible environment where people can focus, collaborate, connect and take a moment to recharge.

Fresh Ideas, Fresh Strawberries

We were also delighted to collaborate with BerryGood, a pioneer in growing strawberries using an innovative fridge-based farming system.

Visitors to our booth were treated to freshly picked strawberries straight from their controlled growing environment – bringing the idea of farm to table right into the exhibition hall. It was certainly one of the more unexpected, and delicious, highlights of the event!

Connecting with the Design Community

Over the four days, we had the opportunity to meet and connect with many architects, interior designers and industry professionals. These conversations gave us valuable insights into the evolving needs of today’s workplace and allowed us to introduce Markant’s approach to creating healthier, more productive work environments.

ARCHIDEX was undoubtedly an exciting – and exhausting four days for the Markant team. But seeing visitors engage with our products, listening to insightful perspectives from industry professionals and building new connections made every tired step worthwhile.
