Vision - how we see the world
The world changes at an alarming rate. Companies can no longer hold a position in the market where they are safe from competitors; the market is constantly changing and companies must adapt quickly to survive. Errors are punished harder. This requires vision, creativity and communication skills. This is how people work. The pressure on these people is increasing. Besides a good salary, the work surroundings also play an important role in the well-being and motivation of staff. Employees no longer stay with one employer for their entire career. This climate facilitates more frequent changes of work. Pension arrangements are a good example. Employees who develop and adapt rapidly have greater opportunities for careers. The benefits quickly outweigh the costs. Markant provides resources and knowledge for creation and maintenance of a pleasant and healthy work environment.
Strategy – How can this be achieved?
Markant aims to remain a small organisation in order to be flexible to the changing market. This is achieved by outsourcing of activities to experts in their field.
Markant focuses on core functions: Market research, Research & Development activities, Production of furniture in Asia and Marketing & Communication.
The remaining activities are wherever possible outsourced. For example some production is outsourced to expert subcontractors and suppliers, and sales activities are outsourced to our dealer network.

By developing activities in several countries simultaneously, we can draw on a larger economy of scale and advanced technologies can be applied. This binds our affiliations in several countries. The sale activities are implemented locally to meet specific market needs.
